A Curator & Artist Collaboration
- Opepen as a Digital Museum
Opepen is not just a collection - it’s a digital museum where curators and artists collaborate to shape the permanent collection. This cyclical relationship ensures that the project continuously evolves, with artists submitting new works and curators deciding which of them become part of the collection.
- Curators: Participate by Holding Unrevealed Tokens (called ‘blanks’)
To become a curator, you need to hold at least one unrevealed Opepen token (commonly called a Blank Opepen).
- These NFTs display the Opepen shape with white grid lines on a black background.
- In the top right corner of each Blank, you can see the rarity tier for which the Blank is eligible (e.g., 1/1, 1/4, 1/5, etc.).
- These Blanks give you the right to vote (opt-in) on submitted artwork.
- Each unrevealed token equals one vote.
- Curators play a key role in deciding which submitted sets will become part of the permanent collection.
- You can purchase these tokens to participate i.e. on Opensea: https://opensea.io/collection/opepen-edition?search[stringTraits][0][name]=Revealed&search[stringTraits][0][values][0]=No ****

Example: Opepen Blank - Rarity Tier 5
- Artists: Submit Your Vision
Artists are invited to reinterpret the Opepen symbol / constraint in their own unique style.
